Week 16 Inspiration

This book cover by Alexa Sharpe. I love the colours and the contrast of monochrome to full colour, as well as the border of foreground monsters.

This top down cafe scene by Tokenin.

LOVE these character designs! Also the mood given to them with the limited colour palette and the red highlights.

I love this pose and how it can be rendered in so many different colours and patterns. Printmaking!

These Valentine hugs from Shannon Bea.
Such good line work here!

Also a big fan of these low poly pals by colincake (click here for gif versions!) Simple shapes and nice colours.

This piece from "100 Views of Tokyo" by Shinji Tsuchimochi.

These invisible things (and the ones too) by Andy J Pizza on twitter

These cats by @neko_cer on twitter. I love this syyle of anthropomorphic, and the mood these more toned down colours gives.

Week 4 Inspiration

 art2 by lowua

Lots of brightly coloured things again! I really want to get confident with using obnoxiously bright colours, and also ya know, learn how to use them good.

And again with bright colours on black backgrounds.

From Kasey Golden 's video on Using Screentones. I really like the raised effect on the character and text boxes - can't do that with digital! Another traditional art thing to add to my list.

Week 3 Inspiration

Pieces by Dol Ay (@dolay999) on twitter

Panel from the comic "Circuits and Veins" by Jem Yoshioka. I just really likes this fashion - sportswear with a loose top over tight clothing.

Week 2 - Inspiration

This week I got to go see Spiderman: Into the Spider Verse for the second time. It's a FANTASTIC movie and the visuals cannot be overstated!! I'm so glad I got to watch it again on the big screen and pay attention to all the little things I missed the first time around.

I also spotted this album cover around, and I just really like the silly, DIY feel of it.
